Margaret Zuckerman is an independent art advisor based in New York and the founder of MVZ Arts.
With a personal and transparent approach, Margaret works with collectors at all levels of the market, implementing her extensive knowledge and industry network on behalf of her clients.
Margaret has over fifteen years of experience placing countless works by emerging, mid-career and blue chip artists into international private collections and cultural institutions worldwide. She is a trusted, well known professional who focuses on developing legacy collections that exhibit both institutional weight and market longevity.
Margaret has a Master’s Degree with Distinction in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s, London, studied Modern and Contemporary Art at Harvard University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Tulane University. Initially working in Antique and 19th Century European painting, she soon evolved into collection management for one the world’s largest private, multi-billion dollar collections of Modern and Impressionist paintings and continues to deal privately in Twentieth Century works today.
In the last decade Margaret emerged as a leader in fostering emerging, contemporary artists’ careers in the rapidly expanding Los Angeles and New York art gallery landscape. Her many years of industry experience includes senior roles at leading international art galleries such as Gagosian, Pace Gallery, Nino Mier Gallery and Sprueth Magers.
